Post International integration: parcels, dispatches and waybills through the partner API

Parcels are handed to the postal partner from the accounting system: registration, waybill, batch dispatch and cancellation — through its API, with no exports or spreadsheets.

Context

The freight accounting system works with Post International directly.

What was built

Parcels. Creating and cancelling a parcel with the partner, the event recorded in the order history.

Dispatches. Registering and cancelling a dispatch.

Waybills. Generating the waybill label and attaching it to the order.

Customs codes. Registering HS codes with the partner.

Import. Loading parcels from the partner HTTP API: customers, addresses, jobs and orders are created.

How it works

The integration is a set of YAML workflows in the accounting system, not code in its core, so a change ships without a system release.

Scale: 6 workflows.
